Welcome, traveler, to Caralee Cove. I hope you like stories—this island is wild with them!
We’re only just beginning to discover all this little cove has to share, and it would bring me no small amount of pleasure to have you along for the journey.
I’m the founder of this Cove. People often ask when I discovered it, but the truth is: it’s always been here—hovering at the edge of my imagination like a distant light in the fog.
For years, I caught glimpses but each time I drew near, I turned my small boat back around.
Too risky, don’t you know? Too strange. Too many uncertainties.
Eventually, though, I couldn’t resist the call of the cove. On a rather stormy sea day (because of course I chose the windiest day), I packed a satchel, brewed a strong cup of tea, and set sail. And wouldn’t you know it?
The cove was waiting.
Caralee Cove is full of stories: the faith-filled ones, the adventurous ones, the quiet, strange, and silly ones. The kind of stories that begin with “What if…” and end with “Remember when?”
I suppose the cove has been gently calling me my whole life—and now that I’m here, I plan to stay a while.
In this journal, you’ll find occasional notes from my time here: updates, reflections, and the odd short story. Think of it as a message in a bottle straight to you, sent from the edge of somewhere wonderful.
So once again—welcome. There’s a kettle on, a breeze in the air, and a whole cove of stories waiting to be found.
With sand in my shoes and ink on my hands, Carolyn Nicole Founder & Keeper of the Cove
